Matt Ringler joined Ellrich, Neal, Smith & Stohlman, P.A. in July 2022. Matt has over 20 years of experience in the tax industry. Prior to joining the firm, Matt spent time in the Big 4, private law practice, a publicly traded REIT, and as a CPA for a local wealth advisor.
Matt specializes in preparing and reviewing complex tax returns for individuals, business entities, and trusts and handles all federal and state tax controversies. Matt also advises clients on the tax consequences of proposed transactions and helps them restructure those transactions to minimize their tax burden.
Matt earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Virginia, a Master of Accounting from UNC-Chapel Hill, a law degree from Washington & Lee University, and an LL.M. in tax from the University of Florida.
Matt is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), licensed in both Florida and Virginia, and is admitted to the Florida and Georgia bars.
